October 23, 2023

October 2023 — Rivet, a revenue cycle management and healthcare pricing transparency platform, announced the appointment of Erick Sunarto as the company’s new Vice President of Technology. Sunarto joins Rivet with nearly two decades of healthcare revenue cycle software experience. In this role, Sunarto will be responsible for elevating Rivet’s underlying infrastructure and foundational technology to drive interoperability and simplify the customer experience. Arming Customer Success and Product teams with sleek technology solutions and insightful industry and customer data, Sunarto will be instrumental in Rivet’s expansion into hospitals and other healthcare verticals.

“As Rivet continues to scale and galvanize value across the healthcare landscape, the addition of Erick to our engineering team will bolster Rivet’s ability to deliver best-in-class technology to today’s healthcare providers,” said Ted Ferrin, Co-Founder and CEO of Rivet. “Costs to provide quality care continue to rise, so protecting the revenues of practices of all sizes should be a top priority to ensure patients have access to the exemplary care they need. With nearly twenty years of experience leading successful engineering teams in the healthcare space, Erick’s proven track record for fueling innovation is an invaluable asset to both our existing and prospective clients as they navigate a fraught economic environment.”

Before joining Rivet, Sunarto served as the Vice President of Software Engineering and Compliance at Healthcare IP, a healthcare transaction clearing house. During his seven-year tenure with Healthcare IP, Sunarto built a multi-tenant infrastructure from the ground up and was responsible for building an event-driven transaction processing platform capable of ingesting, auditing, and building millions of transactions per day. In 2021, Healthcare IP was acquired by Olive AI, an automation and intelligence company designed to improve the financial revenue cycle in healthcare. At Olive AI, Sunarto oversaw the company’s Integration Engine and drove the standardization processes of Olive’s products and solutions.

“Rivet’s healthcare revenue acceleration platform delivers innovative, one-of-a-kind technology designed to alleviate some of healthcare’s biggest pain points,“ said Sunarto. “As the demand for a simplified revenue cycle process continues to persist, I look forward to bringing my passion for modernizing the healthcare financial experience to the Rivet team and contributing to the company’s next phase of product innovation.”
